Noventiq has successfully implemented a Microsoft System Center 2016 project in Constructora Meco, a leading Costa Rican construction company. As a result of the project, the client has improved IT infrastructure management with prompt technical support.
Constructora Meco is a leading LATAM construction company, specializing in earthworks, industrial and commercial infrastructure development, road and residential building construction, hydroelectric projects amongst others. The company operates in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Salvador and Panama.
Business Situation
Constructora Meco has an extensive branch network in Latin America. The complexity of its network structure and the growing number of workstations were increasing the challenges of configuration compliance management of software and hardware aligned to corporate standards. The client needed to optimize their IT infrastructure management process with real-time reports on the state of IT systems and prompt remote technical support services. The client selected Microsoft System Center for IT infrastructure management. Noventiq, with extensive experience in infrastructural project implementation, was selected for the implementation based on the successful pilot implementation of the solution in the client’s infrastructure.
The client had been considering systemizing software deployment and upgrading of employees' PCs for a while. Constructora Meco’s business, amongst other challenges, involves extensive trips to remote sites with very poor connectivity. System Center enables the smooth upgrade of new software with efficient management updates.
Solution
Previous experience with local systems integrators have not been successful due to installation errors. This had compelled the client to suspend projects and cancel System Center implementations.
Noventiq is a trusted long-term partner of Constructora Meca, a partnership focused on software licensing. Noventiq Costa Rica successfully implemented System Center 2016 in a pilot environment, where with proper configuration all system requirements were fulfilled. Based on this success, an implementation contract was subsequently signed between Noventiq and the client. Noventiq Costa Rica engaged specialists from Russian offices in supporting the implementation.
Results
For the project tasks, Noventiq deployed and configured the System Center 2016 IT infrastructure management and monitoring system. System Center Operations Manager performs continuous software and hardware monitoring, providing administrators with actual information on resource availability. System Center Configuration Manager enables centralized software installation on all corporate devices. Noventiq conducted training courses on System Center configuration and operations for the client's IT specialists.

Simplified payment management and the ability to store virtually unlimited files allow to use the available IT resources as efficiently as possible. We plan to scale the solution depending on the type and amount of shares in Russia and abroad, and also to attract key rightholders to increase the efficiency of distribution and create new models of mutually beneficial cooperation.
